    Creative Direction Comes First

Every project in the studio begins long before a light is switched on. We ask where the images will have to work hardest — a marketplace listing, a homepage hero, a seasonal campaign — and work backwards from there. The answers become the creative direction for the shoot: the mood, the palette, the angles worth chasing and the ones worth skipping. That discipline is what separates visual marketers from a camera for hire, and it's why a finished set of images reads as one coherent story instead of a loose folder of pictures. When a client arrives with nothing but a product and a deadline, this direction is the first thing we build for them.

    Building the Set

Set production is where direction becomes tangible. Surfaces are chosen, props are pulled or built, and light is shaped to the material in front of it — matte ceramics ask for something different than polished glass or woven textile. The studio sits in the center of Montreal, close to the clients it serves: a founder can walk in with a prototype in the morning and watch it take shape on set the same day. Nothing on set is precious. When a composition isn't earning its place, we adjust it, the same habit of listening and correcting that runs through everything we do.

    What Happens After the Shoot

The shoot is half the job. Selection, retouching, and color work follow, guided by the same brief the shoot started with. Accuracy matters most here: a sweater photographed for a listing has to match the sweater that arrives in the mail, because a gorgeous image that ships the wrong color is a returned order waiting to happen. Files are cleaned, color-matched, cropped, and delivered in the formats each channel needs — ready to upload rather than ready to fix. By the time a set reaches a client, the creativity that started the project and the precision that finished it should be impossible to tell apart.

Who Works With Us, and How

The studio is commissioned by startups preparing a first launch, eCommerce businesses refreshing a catalog, and established companies running full range campaigns — the same mix of clients we've worked with from the center of Montreal since the beginning. Some need a single hero image; others need a complete season of content. The relationship runs the same way either way. It opens with a conversation about what the images are for, moves through a transparent pricing discussion, and continues past delivery, because images that perform usually lead to the next project. Clients stay for the partnership as much as the pictures: we listen, we adjust, and we stand behind the results. If that's the working relationship you're after, tell us about your product and we'll take it from there.
